AAF-Amarillo takes pride in recognizing creative excellence in advertising. Each February, AAF-Amarillo hosts the local tier of the American Advertising Awards, a.k.a. “The ADDYs.” Winners on the local level can advance to compete with other winners on the district and national stage.
AAF-Amarillo members attend several district and national advertising conferences each year. They’re packed with seminars and workshops featuring the world’s leading advertising professionals.
The next generation of industry innovators is learning the advertising profession today. The Advertising Education Sponsorship (AES) program was created to improve the quality of advertising education.
In a variety of ways, it supports academic and practical opportunities that transform bright students into brilliant creative thinkers:
- Faculty & Institution Grants
- Student Scholarships
- Funding for College-Level Competitions
Each year, AAF’s National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) provides college advertising students with an opportunity to practice what they’ve learned and develop a strategic campaign for a corporate sponsor. AES supports this challenging competition by assisting with student team travel and other expenses at the district-level.
