What is Central Region?
This will be the fourth American Advertising Federation Central Region Conference. It brings together AAF club leaders from 18 states and 5 districts. The conference is being promoted to all 84 AAF clubs consisting of 12,000 members of Central Region.

Attendees are engaged in the advertising/communications industry and are leaders in their local and district AAF organizations. Central Region attendees will be drawn from Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Northwest Louisiana. We’re expecting somewhere between 170 and 225 participants – some of the best and brightest advertising leaders.

Why the conference?
This conference was created to fill the gap between a district conference and the national conference. While the 10th District (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and western Louisiana) holds three large, well attended conferences each year (usually 100-150 attendees), the other four districts that – together with the 10th – comprise the Central Region, do not.

Most districts hold just one or two small conferences each year, attended by 50 or fewer people in club leadership within their district. Because of the small attendance, these districts often cannot afford to bring in national-quality speakers and trainers. While these speakers and trainers ARE available at the national conference, the cost to attend the national conference is often prohibitive for small clubs to send their leaders. The goal for this conference is to provide high caliber training, networking and speakers at a level close to that of the national conference for a price that is affordable for even small clubs.
